Ok, so I've been noticing everyone and their sister doing funnel swirls.......since I'm already out of step with the rest of the world I decided to make a guy's soap.........Blue Balls! Geez, the world is already too serious....time to have a little fun, eh? Give it to anyone you like (or don't LOL)
I have a horrible time cutting straight lines.......so I wanted something to keep my wavy cutter steady. When in doubt, build it yourself. I made a guillotine out of scrap wood that my cutter slides right into, and it works like a charm! I may slick this design up a bit and mass produce these. Any soap company owners interested in this design let me know ;-)
Ok here is my first wine soap....I am thrilled with how it's turning out considering how wine soap can screw up on you. I simmered the wine for 15 minutes and let cool before adding my lye to it....if you don't do this you risk a lye volcano. After adding my Berry Wine scent from Brambleberry ( GREAT f/0....not grape bubbleyum, this one actually smells like wine!) I swirled in some magenta mica and CPOPed it overnight. I love it.
