Stained Glass Soap Porn

Ok, here is the Lemongrass/Eucalyptus soap I was talking about in the last post; sorry, it seems that I am only good at taking pictures of ghosts LOL.  Anyway, here they are; let me know if you like them!

I'm so sorry!

I have really let this slide....I am so sorry!  After Thanksgiving I sort of let the soaping slide, but now I am back in full swing with the Downtown Art Market in Lubbock and the First Friday Wine Trail.  For First Friday I am set up in the Glassy Alley Art Gallery.....a lot of new faces, and it's a blast!  A profitable blast, I might add :-)  Coming out with several new scents, too....I made a yummy basil essential oil with aloe.  OMG!  This smells like you'd want to put this in your spaghetti sauce; I anticipate that this will be a huge seller for me.  Waiting on another new scent to come in the mail; what do you think of Cedarwood Sage?  Yeah, I like it too!  I'll get pics up soon of some of my new soaps...I just made a lemongrass/eucalyptus spearmint soap that looks like stained glass.  It's a really great effect; I wonder if I can do it again?  We'll see, won't we?  Cheers til the next time!

Clean The World Charitable Organization

Well, I learned something new today and now I know exactly where my odds and ends are going to go.  Read on:

Dear soap maker,
A 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides much-needed soap to the third world, “Clean the World,” has asked me to mobilize the handmade soap community. The need for soap in Haiti is great.
Without hand washing, the broken sewers, plumbing, and toilets in Haiti will lead to diarrhea-related bacterial infections, which sadly effect children the most and lead to 5 million deaths annually. You can help!
All soap is rebatched by Clean the World before distribution, so you can send cold process, hot process, handmilled, melt-and-pour, even half-used bars as well as shampoo (opened or unopened) to:
Clean the World
8026 Sunport Dr. #306
Orlando FL 32809
The soaps do not need to be labeled in any kind of way (ingredients, type of soap, etc.). Please include a brief note with your contact information explaining that you’ve donated handmade soap and whether you’d like a receipt for your taxes.

Name this soap

Well, I fell off the blog wagon...sorry about that.  Just trying a little of everything to try to get my soaps out there and break into this saturated market.  I've got soaps in a busy craft mall, in a hair salon, sold some wholesale to a boutique, and have shops on Etsy and Bonanzle.  Any suggestions out there, soapers?  Oh, I also have appointments with a couple of wineries interested in carrying them.

Ok, so I got in the mood to make another wild swirl.....the lye ate my scent so it is basically unscented.  I think maybe Wild Child.....what do y'all think?

Blue Balls Patchouli Soap

Ok, so I've been noticing everyone and their sister doing funnel swirls.......since I'm already out of step with the rest of the world I decided to make a guy's soap.........Blue Balls! Geez, the world is already too serious....time to have a little fun, eh? Give it to anyone you like (or don't LOL)

Cutting Soap

I have a horrible time cutting straight lines.......so I wanted something to keep my wavy cutter steady. When in doubt, build it yourself. I made a guillotine out of scrap wood that my cutter slides right into, and it works like a charm! I may slick this design up a bit and mass produce these. Any soap company owners interested in this design let me know ;-)
